Hey, Everybody, I took this video Sunday night when I moved into my apartment. I'll post pictures of the place and my roommates soon.
My host parents are named Chela y Carlos Castro. They're both very friendly. Carlos picked me up at the bus station yesterday, and Chela has cooked me all my meals. She's a very good cook, and I know I will enjoy my meals.
My last four weeks have been quite exciting. I have taken many pictures that I will upload onto Facebook. I also will once in a while sprinkle in a new picture here and there because I took 1,700 but only uploaded about 400, lol. I have to say my favorite thing that I did was spend a week in Mancora. Yes, it's true I have a weakness for the beach (even though I got sunburned almost every day this week even though I had sunscreen on), but it's also the only place I felt th most comfortable and got to know really well. I also tried the best food ever (which happens to be ceviche, and I can get more of it here in Lima, woot!) That's also the place where I made the closest friends that I know I will keep in contact with.
As much as I enjoyed my travels, the entire time I was so just looking forward to Lima. At home, when I'm on winter or summer break, I always wish I was in school. Except when I was in Mexico last summer. But, this whole time, I loved my adventures but at the same time I could not wait to start school in Lima. I wanted to know this city, I wanted to actually make real friends that I could go out with, I wanted to be doing film again, I wanted to be learning, and I wanted to meet my family.
I am so happy to be here that I cried. I prayed to God and cried.
